There are many types of memory :
- Sensory Memory the shortest-term element of memory. It is the ability to retain impressions of sensory information after the original stimuli have ended . Using senses such as hearing , smell , sight , taste and touch .
- Short - term Memory acts as a kind of “scratch-pad” for temporary recall of the information which is being processed at any point in time . STM is a memory that allows human beings to memorize in a short time .
- Long - term Memory intended for storage of information over a long period of time. Despite our everyday impressions of forgetting. you may remember the things in a long time because you keep repeat the sentence .
- Distraction - from our friend who wants to gossiping or chatting with us when lecturer teaching . from our own phones , we keep replying messages from others or groups .
- Focus - as a students we must avoid sitting at the back because if we sit at back we cannot focus in the class .
- Time Factor - many students cannot divide their time properly , so you must make a reminder or planner like what we already learn in our last lesson . Sir Fariz also suggest us to make a big calendar and write down the important dates in the calendar such as our test , topic and final exam .

How to improve your memory
Massed Practice vs Spaced Practice
- Massed Practice - showing someone who often memorizes something continuously without rest . This practice is strongly discouraged .
- Spaced Practice - showing someone who continuously memorizes but there is a break and time interval . This practice is highly recommended .
- Student just read 2 chapter a day and don't try reading all the chapter in a day . you will be tired and you cannot memorize all the chapter .
- you may practice the topic until you remembered it and understand the topic
- you can repeat reading the topic
- Acronyms / catchwords e.g : UIA - Universiti Islam Antarabangsa btw - by the way
- Acrostics / catchphrases e.g. :
- Imagery
